Guns, Liquor, Batteries and Toilet Paper?

We hear it all the time; " You have a little bit of everything!". We sure try to have a little bit of everything. We try to have whatever people seem to need while out camping and enjoying the outdoors.

In an effort to expand our business and offer something unique to the area, we applied for a Federal Firearms License (FFL). As we were going through the application process I heard a song by Tom MacDonald called "Snowflakes". There is a lyric that mentions how the government is setting us up to fail "by placing an Ammunition shop across the street from a liquor store". Well, we are the Ammo shop and liquor store for the Halsey area!!! As I was preparing for the ATF interview and store inspection, I was nervous. Would they deny our FFL application? Will they let us sell guns/amm0 and liquor under the same roof?

Yes, they did approve our application. While in some urban cultures this idea may seem asinine or insane. In the rural Sandhills, this is just a matter of providing products and services to the hard working Men and Women that work with the best beef this country has to offer. They need guns/ammo for predator control, putting down sick/injured critters, and occasionally pursuing some of the biggest Mule deer around the country. These ranchers also want to tip back a glass of Pendleton 1910 or a Coors Banquet stubby after a long day in the hills. This is where we come in!! We listen to our customers and what they want is what we try our best to stock in store.

"Can I purchase a gun from you if I'm just passing through?" Yes, we can do that. We don't stock many guns. Through this endevor we have realized that people are perticular about the guns they want. People want a certain caliber or stock or threaded barrel. This has held us up from stocking too many guns. In state CCW holders and purchase permit holders are easy to process because your background check has already been done. If you don't have one of those permits, we can run your background check and usually send you on your way within an hour.
